The forked tongue seen on swallowtail caterpillars is a defensive organ scientifically tered “osmeterium”. This showy projection excretes terpenes to repel dangers.

While terpenes might scare off caterpillar predators, when added to a Hazy IPA they provide vibrant aromas and enhance flavor.

In the case of our Osmeterium, we are pushing earthy pineapple from Abstrax Tech’s Cannabis-derived Pineapple Express terpenes supported by Sabro and Idaho 7 hops.
