Instar Pale Ale is a sessionable reminder that starting out small and growing into something more is fundamental to life. This light bodied beer has a touch of bitterness from Cascade hops which gives way to orange citrus and soft pine notes from an Amarillo and Centennial dry hop.

Instars are stages of caterpillar development along a spectrum from egg to butterfly. A monarch caterpillar has five instars during which they eat constantly, pausing only to shed their skin, ultimately growing to almost 2,000 times their original mass and changing to a butterfly.
